As the new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation surges forward, digital transformation has become a “compulsory course” concerning survival and development. On the banks of the Ganjiang River, a profound “workshop revolution” is rewriting the genes of traditional industry. In 2026, the first year of the 15th Five-Year Plan, Nanchang City set the ambitious goal of achieving an economic aggregate of over one trillion yuan by the end of the 15th Five-Year Plan, and explicitly stated that it would “firmly establish the city as a manufacturing-based entity and promote the expansion and efficiency improvement of ‘intelligent transformation and digital transition’.”
From the world’s largest intelligent workshop for LED chips to the lightweight transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises in “small steps and fast progress”, Nanchang is exploring a new path of digital transformation characterized by “chain leaders leading and small and medium-sized enterprises following up”. Recently, the list of the third round of “Digital Leadership” and “Digital Intelligent Factories” in Jiangxi Province was announced, and over 20 enterprises in Nanchang were selected as provincial benchmarks. Behind this outstanding answer sheet lies the firm steps of our city’s advancement towards becoming a “digital leadership” highland.
